The following short film provides a visual overview of the excellent presentation which Dr. John Constable of the Renewable Energy Foundation gave to an audience in Meifod, Montgomeryshire last night. “If we recognise how energy sources differ, we can understand how Europe and then the rest of the world became so prosperous. More importantly, we can begin to see why Western societies now seem to be unravelling.”
I have always admired Dr. John Constable - mo nonsense - to the point and he provides a great dose of reality in my opinion. Thanks for sharing this movie it is excellent.
I too have admired Dr. Constable's work since I became involved in fighting against notorious Hendy Wind Farm and subsequently, currently Bute Energy, a newbie Scottish developer who has never before constructed a single wind turbine that has designs to carpet the depth and breadth of beautiful rural Wales with 220m tall industrial wind turbines and solar arrays.
I was absolutely thrilled that Montgomeryshire Against Pylons had arranged for his presentation.
If you haven't already, I recommend also watching the video of his presentation to the group in the Canary Islands as it mirrors the one we attended. The question session afterwards on both occasions was also very informative.
I will look for these other presentations - good luck with your battles - it is never easy, but we have to keep on going! We seem to be loosing the battle here in Texas.
