The people benefiting from the wealth transfer from "renewables" subsidies should have the wind farms put on their estates. (Oh, Susan, why would you think they live on estates?) Any source of energy they think is delightful for others to suffer through, should be built next to their homes.

As always, Azra, thank you for these posts!

Very well said Susan. Thank you for your comments.

Myself and many many people here in Wales who are being threatened by having 220m tall turbines constructed close to their properties along with BESS battery banks, etc. feel the same way. The bloody things don't even have planning permission yet but friends who put their beautiful house on the market to sell two summers ago have not been able to sell it, even when they knocked £150-£200,000 off of the listed price.

Not only are the Ponzi scam scheme of ruinables aka "renewables" a wealth transfer, they are also a massive land grab.

I finally saw your profile! I'm going to have to look at even more of your writing. I know what you mean about not considering yourself a writer, though when I was very young that's what I wanted to be. I had no adult support for my many interests, so ... Now they're my scribbles or my growlings. I've got to figure out how to name my substack Grrrs from the Growlery (thanks to Dickens for the latter).

Massive land grab, so true. I was talking with a nearby farmer and he pointed out that the land for the "solar farm" nearby will never be usable again because they poured so much concrete. And I'm betting that the farmers who allow this only see dollar signs. Let them eat renewables! That's a good image: some fancy dinner with notables and all that's on their plates is bits and pieces of industrial waste.
