I'm right there with you - been gone for 40'ish years and can't believe what has happened to Britain or the the Irish and now here in the US too. David's comment that many of the MP's just don't know what they are talking about - energy is not an easy subject, or they have drunk the coolade is true. Here too. They just don't seem to understand, until it comes to regulating renewables and then it is a very different picture - oh but they are "green" (gives you a warm a fuzzy feeling- NOT), they are ok we don't need to regulate them! I'm thinking at the end of the day Germany has won the war and is bringing the rest of EU to their knees, little by little and they learned well from Hilter, and they are just better at it now!

After experiencing a lot of endings in my life, one of the many reasons why I made the decision to relocate to the UK in 2012 was that many of the great shifts and movements over the centuries began in Britain. Although I initially landed in Bath where I have a few friends, I'm now living in the hills of beautiful Wales which is currently being run into the ground with the incredibly corrupt woke Marxist, Welsh Labour party in charge with the idiot creep Mark Drakeford (with his convicted paedophile son) as First Minister. The anger and discontent here is large and rising rapidly. People are enraged by Welsh Labour's moronic promotion of everything "net zero" and destroying the ancient sacred landscapes with not clean nor green bird, bat, ecology and community destroying industrial wind installations.
Having said this, I continue to count my blessings that I got out of Canada before the idiot dictator Trudeau furthered the destruction of the country.
Please be assured that friends in England, Scotland and here in Wales are not about to drop to our knees and cow-tow to their inhuman technocratic agenda.

I am sure this also is part of Planned obsolescence strategy? The idea is after a pre-determined period of time upon which it decrementally functions or suddenly ceases to function. This is already happening with software. A perfect example is like that of Adobe PDF software. Windows is the same where service packs are discontinued on older versions . It is wicked concept.
