The UK is particularly hard hit, so I read from colleagues, by the geoengineering schemes to dim the sun. Solar doesn't work so well if there is no sun, or little sun to fuel it.

I just saw a local report about recycling wind turbine blades. Since "communications" majors in the U.S. are taught NEVER to ask questions, the obvious question was not asked, and this is it:

How much energy did University of Maine at Orono spend on this "recycling" process? (I have the feeling it was probably more power than the wind turbine blades ever produced!) Perhaps I will try calling them at the composites laboratory, but I doubt I'll be able to get hold of anyone. The process -- which produces beads for 3D printers -- struck me as absurd.
